Ray Derstine


In 1991, Ray Derstine founded Altek with the goal of providing local businesses in Southeastern, PA with office technology.

“Altek started as a hardware company that happened to offer services on that hardware. Today, we have migrated more to a service provider that can offer hardware as part of the solution.”

Ray is active in community, civic, and church organizations. He also enjoys music, golf, fishing, and shooting sporting clays. Ray and his wife, Cindy, reside in Upper Salford, PA and have four daughters.

Cindy Derstine

Director of Finance & Administration

Cindy has been with the company since its inception in 1991. She sits on the board of the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce and serves as a committee member for the local Leadercast event. She’s active in the Central Bucks Chamber,
Upper Bucks Chamber, Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, and the Chamber for Greater Montgomery County.

Cindy and her husband, Ray, have proudly raised four daughters, three of which are married, and have one grandson. They are members of Calvary Church of Souderton. When she’s not working, she enjoys reading, puzzles, and traveling.

Scott Flaherty

Director of Operations

Scott's focus is to support Altek’s sales, service, and internal administration. He monitors Analytics and Reporting, ensuring quality and precision. He ensures customers are receiving the best experience possible. When Scott isn’t working, he is usually hiking or taking day trips to events or new locations.

Wilhelm Rebmann

Director of IT Services

Wilhelm has extensive experience in the industry, and does everything from Managing the Department to going out and getting dirty on service calls. In his spare time, he is an avid photographer, enjoys hot air ballooning, and is an active member in the Boy Scouts.

Lexi Clemmer

Customer Service and Delivery Coordinator

Lexi is the first person most of our new customers talk to after their Product Specialist. She oversees invoicing, logistics, scheduling, and preparation for customers prior to delivery. She is a key member of the Administration Department, securing all our customers’ needs are handled efficiently and effectively.

In her free time, she loves to be in the kitchen baking or cooking. She prefers sweets, but is willing to try everything. You will also come to find, Lexi is extremely accurate with her archery bow – you have to take her word for it!

Customer Relations Manager

Emalene works directly with all of Altek’s customers to ensure every piece of their current technology is working to its full capability. She monitors active contracts, leases, service toner needs, equipment and software requirements.
Carol Aburto

Carol Aburto

Billing Administrator

Carol joined our team in 2016 processing Accounts Payable, which involves monthly meter reads and reporting. She communicates with the team and combs through each report to verify invoices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner. She enjoys helping customers, answering questions, and resolving issues. Prior to Altek, Carol worked for a major utility company in Alexandria, VA as an Administrative Assistant.

Outside of work, Carol enjoys spending time with family and cooking.

Contract Administrator

Sara amends and adjusts Altek’s customer contracts to ensure accuracy and consistency. She works directly with customers and vendors to ensure billing accuracy and lease renewals.
Sue Wack

Sue Wack

Service Dispatcher, Parts Manager

Sue has been with Altek since 1996. What she loves about her job is helping customers. She finds satisfaction in assisting someone, no matter how small or large the task. In her roles at Altek, she’s able to help in a variety of ways; whether it’s answering customer calls, and discerning how technical support can best be provided, or ensuring the correct parts are available. After all these years, she’s never lost her desire to use a screwdriver and get her hands dirty. Her career in Altek began as a field technician, carrying a tool bag every day for more than seven years. Female service technicians in the copier industry are rare, and make up approximately 5% of field service technicians nationwide!

What brings Sue joy outside of work? She loves spending time with her rescue dog, Maddy, RV camping in the Poconos, Phillies baseball, jigsaw puzzles, kayaking, coloring, and counted cross stitch.

Field Service Supervisor

Frank Schwartz joined the Altek team in 2016. His prior work experience was in the hospitality industry. What he enjoys about his position is the opportunity to meet new people, troubleshoot challenging equipment, assist our technicians, and travel to new places. He loves how every day is different. Outside of work, Frank’s passion is writing, recording, and performing music.

Senior Service Technician

Justin Morris joined our team in 2013. His genuine interest in electronics, problem-solving, and working with people are essential and highly valued attributes. When he’s not working, you will find Justin enjoying the outdoors. He loves playing sports, especially golf. And you can guarantee he’ll be cheering on any Philly sports team!

Jake joined the Altek team in 2018. He enjoys meeting new people on a daily basis, traveling to new places, and the challenges that each day brings. Outside of work, he loves being a father to his son, playing gigs on the weekends with his band, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends.
Mark Brower

Mark Brower

IT Business Development Specialist

Mark has always been in the software and services arena. He spent a decade with software giant Computer Associates (CA) in sales, support, and business development. He also has spent time with another managed service provider prior to joining Altek. He’s a people-person who really finds building relationships and problem solving very rewarding.
Outside of work, sports is his passion. No matter if he’s watching the pros, playing them himself, or his favorite, coaching his kids. He’s known in his hometown for coaching girls rec basketball well beyond the years his 3 daughters went through the program. He proudly mentions, “I got to be the cool Dad for a little while. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.”
William McCord

William McCord

IT Network Engineer

William is one of our newest additions to the Altek family. He spends most of his time remotely installing and troubleshooting Altek’s multifunction machines.

When he's not at work, you’ll find him enjoying video games and music. Be warned, William is often over-enthusiastic about telling everyone the random “fun-facts” he knows.

IT Support, Help Desk

Fernando works in our IT Department, specializing in Help Desk support for our customers. Before working with Altek, Fernando's previous role was working in a computer warehouse where he would troubleshoot, format, and repair computers. His favorite aspect about computers are their complexity. He mentions, "No matter how smart you get, no matter how much research you do on them, there will always be more to learn and something new to try." Outside of work, he's known for writing short stories and watching tons of Anime, his favorite being Madoka Magica.

Adam Volpe

Sales Manager

Adam Volpe joined the Altek team in January. His prior work experience was managing commercial sales at Lansdale Auto Group. The aspect of his job he likes the most is helping people; he enjoys supporting coworkers in order to achieve success and assisting customers in business growth. Outside of work, Adam loves spending time with family, watching Philly sports, and fitness.

Sales Executive

Kevin worked in sales and operations for GNC, overseeing 11 retail stores, prior to joining Altek. He thrives in his position because Altek provides him the platform to apply his work ethic in order to become successful. He also loves the vibe in our office; it’s filled with positive energy, good people, competitive spirit, and the work hard-play hard mentionality.

Outside of work, he’s known as a Workout Junkie. You can find him in the gym or the kitchen because, as he says, “they go hand in hand”. And he loves spending time with family and friends while sharing awesome food.

Sales Executive

Neil worked in retail and multi-unit management with GNC for over a decade and with Northwestern Mutual prior to joining Altek. He’s a people-person who really finds building relationships, problem solving, and making an impact on the community very rewarding.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his daughter and girlfriend. He’s also diving into the world of podcasting and writing his own book.
